March Madness

I figure I should let everyone know how things are progressing. March has been one crazy month and I didn't think I was going to get out alive. After graduation in February, I was presented with a brand new kindy class and two brand new after new classes. The kindy kids and the one afternoon class (BP Starter) have little to no English ability. My reading club class I have taught before and is a bunch of kids from other teacher's classes.

My kindy class is a handful. The kids, after the inital shock of being thrust into a such an environment, have adjusted as the weeks have progressed. There is one child, Alex, who still does not understand or know how to interact with other children. He has hit my once during his tantrums and attempted to do it again just this past Friday. Once that was dealt with, and the tears had stopped everything was back to as normal as it could be.

My other class have settled into a rhythum and the kids are a lot of fun. I still have my two Trophy classes, which are my sanity; at times I wonder if what I am saying ever gets through to them.

The weather has started getting warmer and then it shocks us as if to laugh in our face, blowing a bitter cold wind to remind us that the warm weather is not quite here just yet. Everyone is ready for spring, which is one of the nicest times in Seoul.

With a bunch of friends, we are planning to go to Busan for the long weekend in May. That should be a fun time on the coast. I think our hotel will be right by the beach. The weather should be warm by that time. I can't wait to see the coast.

Other than that, I played in a inter-squard tournament and my team lost; oh, well. Just dumb lucky in the first game, we played well in the second game, but needed to win by so many goals and that didn't happen. We are having our team party on April Fool's Day, that should be memorable. Pics will be posted following the day, don't worry.

As always, click on the title of this post and you can see pics of my new kids and some of the regulars that I have been teaching since the start of the year. I am off to chiro. Once I got to adding pics, I forgot there were some funny and interesting ones to add, so those are before the pics of the kids.
